showing appreciation on july 4

this post has been sponsored by American Greetings. all thoughts and opinions are my own.

with as busy as our days get, sometimes the simplest of things get pushed aside. after a long day of grocery shopping, battling traffic and crossing off the many to-do’s on the list, we forget to appreciate those around us.

one of my goals this year was to show more appreciation and give thanks where thanks is due. and let’s be real, no matter how hard our days get, we all have so much to be thankful for.

showing appreciation to our US military members

on one of my many runs to the AAFES Exchange, i picked up a handful of American Greetings thank you cards and some fun july 4 festive décor. this year, i’m achieving my appreciation goal by showing and saying thank you to our soldiers for serving, honoring, and protecting our country.

i’m sending a note to all our closest family and friends so they can join in on saying, thank you. i sent out one of my favorite American Greetings thank you cards so everyone can sign it and say a personal thank you!

living with an army officer, i know firsthand that hearing from the people you love the most, especially when you get stationed all around the world, is such a wonderful and joyous feeling. i typically like to add a little homemade tasty treat along with my thank you cards because who doesn’t like a warm, homemade cookie—or two!

seeing your soldier’s face light up after receiving a thank you card and knowing that everyone is so grateful for them is a priceless moment. in fact, if i could recreate those moments every day—i would!

that’s why, at every holiday, i make sure to take a moment to look around and let those that i love know how truly thankful for them i am. the AFFES Exchange [find your closest location here] never fails at having the perfect American Greetings card to help me put my thoughts and feelings best in a perfect and memorable little card.
