spring has officially sprung in NYC!
the cherry blossoms in central park have started to bloom!! if you have been wanting to get a peek at one of the most beautiful seasons in manhattan, then plan accordingly! these beautiful white and pink flowers are only around for a very short and very magical time. each area blooms for only a few days, or a week if we’re lucky this year from mid march to end april. use this as your new york city travel guide to all things cherry blossoms and spring! you can also keep up to date with all my cherry blossom content by following me on instagram here

cherry hill
cherry hill is one of my favorite locations for every season. it’s the perfect spot for a cherry blossom covered picnic in the spring. you’ll find a gorgeous cherry blossom lined path leading to some of new york city’s most iconic locations that you’ll be sure to recognize in your favorite movies and tv shows. near the W 72nd entrance into central park.

pilgrim hill
some of the most full and baby pink hued cherry blossoms can be found at pilgrim hill. to view these blooms enter central park near E 73rd.

birdle path
for an iconic view of the el dorado towers framed in gorgeous pink blooms head to birdle path. it’s near the W 88th entrance of central park. part of the path is currently blooming, but in a few weeks more pink cherry blossoms will cover the path making it one of the most magical corners of central park.

east side of the reservoir
if you cross over to the east side of the reservoir, you’ll find a gorgeous cherry blossom tree lined path near E 86th all the way through the E 90s
the obelisk
this one is my very favorite. something about these gorgeous magnolia trees transport me straight to the most magical storybook. this is in central park right behind the met museum, near E 84th st.
flushing meadows corona park
a little outside of manhattan you find a gorgeous park filled with blooms and spring!

roosevelt island
roosevelt island is one of manhattans best kept secrets. you can ride the iconic tram over to see a gorgeous cherry blossom lined view of the city. it’s both magical and fun experiencing roosevelt island. or, you can train in and out of the island via the F train. just make sure to bring your walking shoes! the island is easiest to get around via foot!
laudaree soho
laudaree is a beautiful french cafe located in soho. ask for a table outside and make sure to end your meal with a delicious macaron!

the natural history museum
these are lesser known blooms and chances are you’ll have the whole place to yourself!
behind the MET museum
there are rows of gorgeous cherry blossoms in central park directly behind the MET museum. you can enter central park at either E 79th or E 84th. if you walk along the path into the park, you can’t miss them.
Burnett Fountain
the burnett fountain is a part of the conservatory garden found in central park near 104th and 5th ave. this garden is a stunning place to sit and chat with friends, or take a stroll and admire all the beautifully lanscaped florals and cascading cherry blossoms above.
